I say that because if you have an mold inspector come over to check to see if you have White mold or Black mold or any other possible problem, chances are they will just do a visual inspection and not do any
testing at all. This is because mold testing cost money. Samples are taken


and sent off to a lab and they write up a report and send it back to the company to pass back to you. If you really think that a company will come over and give you a free mold inspection and then gather samples and pay to give you free mold testing, then I have some other stuff to sell you.

I recommend that you pay a professional to do the actual inspection and mold testing. Make sure you ask what company is doing the mold testing and lab work. You should also ask if they will give you a copy of the lab report and everything in writing. I know this might seem like over kill however, there are to many companies that are scams. You can Google the name of the lab company they give you to make sure they are a real company. The good news is that mold testing shouldn't break the bank and you should be able to afford that even if you do the repairs yourself or can a mold removal company do it.


If you find out you do have a mold problem and you need to pay someone else to repair the problem. This is how you can save money by getting bids and checking references. I recommend that you get at least 5 bids and get several references and follow through and check those references. I know this sounds like a lot of trouble. However, people are not as honest as they once were. You can also check out the better business bureau in your area or online. Now you will save money getting all these estimates because companies will compete to get your business just like any other service. I recommend that you let them know that you are getting several bids before you make your decision and they will try there best to give you a good price. So they get the job.
